Over 70 wells logged from 2017-2019, Cordax’s LWT technology allowed us to add critical geoscience information.
As the Director of Geosciences at Great Western Operating Company, a Denver based exploration company focused on development of unconventional resources in the Denver Julesburg Basin, we looked to Cordax as a solution partner to fulfill our open hole logging needs as a means to minimize both risk and rig-time. With over 70 wells logged from 2017-2019 Cordax’s LWT technology allowed us to add critical geoscience information in the Southern portion of our acreage which lacked data and also fulfill the state regulatory requirements. Cordax’s operations were on time and operational performance was as advertised. Log data quality was good and fulfilled our needs. We used Cordax’s post fracture logging services as part of a multi-diagnostic project in order to optimize our well completions which resulted in dramatic improvement and understanding of fracture behavior. The improved completion designs saved the company millions over the span of the the remaining PADs implemented prior to the purchase of GWOC by PDC. I would recommend Cordax to other unconventional operators with similar challenges.

Formation Evaluation method replacing wireline, LWT, TBL, and pipe conveyed OH logging methods
Benefits
Wireline quality petrophysical data acquired during routine trip out of well
Eliminates bridging and lost-in-hole (LIH) exposure versus other methods
No extra pipe trip or hole conditioning
Data acquisition in any well trajectory
Tools pumped into BHA only when required, reducing wear and risk
Application
Casing point detection
Evaluate Multi Laterals
Kick-off point detection in build section
Benefits
Deployment at any point during drilling operations
Virtually invisible to drilling and well construction activities
Rig time savings by reducing extra trips
Allows timely completion decisions
Incorporates well data such as mud logs, gas, ROP, pore pressure
